Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler was in 1990. She was 19 years old and received the Grammy Award in the category of Best Bluegrass Album. It was an impressive feat and not only because Krauss was young but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album of her library. Her first effort, Too Late to Cry, was released when the Champaign, Illinois, native was just 16 years old; she had made a deal with Rounder Records, one of the most prestigious folk label in the business--at the age of 14. Her achievements even at a young age, and as well as her virtuosity, have been consistently matched by the fact that she's remained faithful to bluegrass - one of America's most enduring and least appreciated musical genres. Krauss was a mature artist and producer having become a teen superstar. Alison Alison Alison
