Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. Aspen Ladd had training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling prior to making her amateur debut at WCFC in the age group of 18. Ladd followed up to win three bouts within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated ended in less than a second. After that, she went back to WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was already beaten by Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was beaten by Aspen and defeated her by unanimity to create an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's debut fight as a bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills defeated McGill her first time, and she was able to end her opponent in the 3rd round through TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen later faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She took on Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was not able to make the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she ended her fight with a TKO. Invicta FC21 was her last match for the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She defeated Lina with a ground and pound victory during the second round. Ladd continued to dominate and picked up a more impressive victory in her subsequent fight against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229. Ladd was able to beat Evinger to the punch in the first round. She also was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first major match. Ladd's victory was a unanimous verdict, and also her Fight of the Night award came to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round in the UFC in ESPN 7. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. Dumont was defeated in a unanimous decision.
